I went with the Haloview solar setup. Since it's solar it has a battery and the camera has two magnetic mounting surfaces. I can plop the camera down on the rear bumper when I need it for backing and then remove it and the monitor from the dash when not needed. No wires and a great picture. I don't believe I will mount the solar panel that came with it. The camera has a separate charge cable. I don't need a camera in the rear while driving. My tow mirrors are enough. And if you set the trailer up as conventional instead of 5th wheel and a max length of 33ft I get the side camera view from the trucks camera's when the turn signals are used.

My ‘24 F-450 has the side mirror cameras active with turn signals with the trailer setup as a 42’ fiver.

I took what you said here as that with the setup set to 5th wheel the side cameras didn’t function but by setting it to 33’ conventional they do. If that’s not what that statement means then I guess that I’m confused.

That is correct. I presume that is because our truck didn't get outfitted with the 12 pin connector and the 5th wheel sensors that need to be added to the trailer.

Nothing has ever been plugged into the 12 pin connection on my truck and the side mirrors function as I described.

Well then your truck is more special than mine.

I am a first time poster so I can’t create my own thread.

i don’t have the ultimate tow package (874), but i do have the 360 degree view and want to add the ford backup camera and eventually bliss. 2026 lariat 6.7 HO.

Has anyone done this before?

I found the 12 pin above the tire center circled in red next to where the trailer 5 pin enters the wiring harness.

The trailer 7 pin is on the left in orange.

I plan on wiring it where the 7 pin was installed. I may need to take this out and put Ford’s connector in.

if this is not possible I’d like to know before I purchase and install the hardware. There may even be programming that needs to get done to activate features.

I don’t know if it’s possible to integrate the Ford camera/TPMS/ Yaw sensor into your system if it is not pre installed on your truck. On my 2024 King Ranch I have both the 7-way trailer connector and the camera connector mounted in the truck bed. There was also the camera connector plug behind the spare to install the double connector by the rear bumper. If you have all of the plugs on your truck maybe it can be programmed into the system. One thing to look at is in your camera view is there an icon for the rear camera. If not you this system is probably not installed.
