Auto Start/Stop

2021 F-150 XLT 5.0 won’t restart after Auto Start/Stop cuts it off. I have to shift to park, crank it, then shift back to drive. It’s always done it about once a quarter. Recently it’s increased to several times a week?

Any help would be appreciated.

Out of warranty? Should have taken it the first time that happened.

Have you ever had codes read?

Obviously I thought otherwise. Thanks for all your help nonetheless.

The dealership service manager said there was no codes.

You can buy a gizmo that reverses the switch function. It makes the default setting "off".

I think they are about $100.

Long shot but it might be a fix.

When something like this happens, I give the dealer 1 or 2 try’s to fix it and then the truck gets traded on a new one. Depending on how pod I are it probably would be a different brand.
