XL options
I was on Ford's website building an XL and I noticed there was no towing package offered. No one tows with an XL anymore?
I'm also curious about how owners like the folding gearshift.

I'm going to tag along on your thread if you don't mind. I'm also specc'ing out an XL for work and have questions. I did come across this to answer your question, there's a tow/haul package available for the XL:

I'm trying to determine if the upfitter switches and 110 volt dash outlet have become standard equipment? I can't find them listed in the features nor in optional equipment. I don't see running boards as an option either. Can anyone answer? Thanks!

I went to my dealer recently to talk to my salesmen on a new XL F150. Seems Ford is trying to faze out the XL trucks from what he and the sales manger explained to me

That’s a bummer, but it makes sense. Since the 100A (manual locks/windows) package went by the wayside, you basically have what is a low end XLT now.

I tend to agree with the suggestion they are eliminating the XL, there are very few options available to choose from. Thanks for the input!

It may depend one which cab your going with. But the regular cab is only available in the xl trim. I can’t see ford killing the regular cab work truck. It does look like the super cab is going away.

I don’t think it will go away entirely but more standardized for fleet use. The outlet is not standard at least not on the 24 we have and I was driving the 23 in XL trim and no outlet. Even both my mid trim XLTs didn’t have it. The tow hitch is no charge on them but it was an up charge on the 23.
