My coolant temp has been hovering right around 170 degrees even when on the highway. Is this normal or should I be worried about a thermostat that’s stuck open. Seems to warm up fine in the morning but will not hit 180/190 which seems to be the normal temp.
Sounds like it's thermostat time. Get the Motorcraft part and swap. Won't take long and chances are, it's been revised since the last time it was replaced.
If your truck came with the grill blanket, put it on and see if the temps go up. What is the transmission temp? both should mirror each other by a few degrees.
