In all my trucks only 1 idler pulley needing changing and that was on a 95 F250 with the 351 in it at 250k miles. It was probably the western NY winters/ salt that did it in.
That's funny... I had my 96 F250 with the 351W... put a two add-a-leaf lift kit in it before the transplanted KP Dana 60 went in, to try to keep the front tires from wearing from the plow in winter as those Dana 50s were junk, and it rode like schitt... my buddy "borrowed" the truck and had a "OVERKILL" decal in chrome letters put in the center top of the windshield... I gotta see if I have a pic on my Goggle cloud.
Well, just my luck. Your kit indicates that it doesn't cover 2020 MY. The only Gates kits (or any other brand for that matter) that I can locate are for 2019 and earlier. WTH? No love for us 2020+ owners?
I'd have to buy all the components separately, which equals $$$. Grrr.... thanks a ton, Gates!
Hey bro, just a heads up but I looked around for you for a 20 plus kit but no bueno...

Thanks, but yeah, no joy finding one anywhere, myself. Well, I can always get components individually. But, would've been nice to have a kit (and, a little break on the per-component cost).

Had a 92 Chevy 350 and I had to replace 1 idler pulley around 50k miles.
I ended up buying a Motorcraft belt and aftermarket tensioner from RockAuto. The price on their belt was actually pretty competitive. Went ahead and sprung for the standard tensioner tool kit at the same time, since I misplaced my old one (not too pricey at $15).
I'll do the same as Scott, and keep the old belt and tensioner for spares. Definitely keep the belt in the truck, for sure.

I finally got around to ordering two new idler pulleys, tensioner, and belt. Got them from Rock Auto. $190 shipped. I'm sure they won't include torque specs with the shipment. Does anybody here happen to have access to the service guide? I would like to know proper torque spec for idler pulley bolts and tensioner bolt. Also, do they need blue loc-tite?
