Better weight distribution handles better. Less likely to sink in and get stuck on soft ground. Easier to recover if it does happen.

Plus my 2 post lift is only rated to 7K lbs.

My DRW rides great, better than the SRW 2012 I had. It is one SMOOTH truck.

Ditto. Ride is subjective and people have different expectations but I have four SRW's and two DRW's and I don't notice much of a difference in ride between the two....people complaining probably run the air pressure much higher than they need to on the dually. The DRW is overkill on smaller trailers but on some loads (truck campers, job site trailers, larger bumper pulls and 5th wheels), I find them much more stable and reassuring.

so many ppl now are in Super Dutys that’s came from SUV & little cars : this is most of the complainers.

these newer SD trucks rides WAY BETTER than ANY older compatible truck : period.

Did you ever drive a 79 F350 dually that the 3 longest leaf springs were doubled on? That’s how we used to have the spring packs built for tow trucks. They would haul anything all day with negligible squat.
You would find loose fillings and weak bladders quickly though.

Hope you find the right truck OP.

CCLB DRW 4x4 XLT Premium with a 7.3

I could park my OBS RCLB on the back and still be under payload.

Dually Has a boxed frame like the SRW & rides very good.

The cab & chassis DRW has a C Chanel strait rail frame with shorter stiffer leafs & way more leafs making them ride absolutely horrible when unloaded.

BUT they’ll haul most anything that’ll fit

Managed to find a CPO F350 King Ranch, 6.7L SO, 6.75 bed, 5K miles in Antimatter blue w/bronze two tone. New to both diesels and SD's but the drive home from the dealer was very nice. Might be a touch stiffer in the rear but then it should be. Very nice truck and I am happy.
