Adding 2nd alternator 48V

Hey folk.. did a search but couldn’t find anything. Own a ‘19 F250 XLT 4x4 Crew 6’9” 6.2L truck basically bone stock. Looking to add a 2nd alternator that outputs 48V to assist charging my 2 x 48V 100AH batteries that will be located in a slide-in truck camper. Could anyone provide me with a link to such an alternator and or perhaps provide a link to a setup video? Figured there would be loads of info but I haven’t been able to find anything.

Eventual setup will be an EG4 3kW AIO inverter/charger, 2 5kW 48V 100AH batteries and initially 4 395W/485W bifacial solar panels on the roof which can be expanded to 8 panels later with HD slide outs. Equipment from Signature Solar.

I’ve built a few basic V8 engines for classics and usually pretty good at researching my own crap but just can’t find anything so figured I’d ask here. Thanks.

48v in a slide-in truck camper is way overkill. You won't get any benefits unless you are actually drawing A LOT with a system that small.

Using a 48vdc alternator to power a 120vac inverter sounds like a good idea. The wire would be 1/4 the size. Besides leaning a brick against the gas pedal how could one keep the rpms at the speed the inverter needs to work?

FORD has an 24v alternator for running the on board power inverter that fits. Victron offers a DC-DC converter that takes the 24v input and converts it to 48v output for charging battery banks. Superduty trucks can easily have their idle speed controlled by adding resistance between two wires in the harness. There are multiple articles on that procedure. The trick is to turn on the alternator output when needed by energizing the field current. Any competent automotive electrical shop should be able to handle this.
