Alternator not charging

Alternator not charging
Newbie here !
I use a 1999 F-550 with 7.3 powerstroke as my delivery truck. Been a very reliable truck. with the exception of the alternator (generator) now not charging. I have put 3 different (new) alternators on it with same results.
It has been at a mechanics shop for 4 days and he can't find the issue, but I fear what ever hours he has in will be billed to me, with no results.
As deliveries are my bread and butter, I am desperate to get my truck back on the road.
I know it could be a hundred different things, but can some of you help me start at step one and work from there?
Single alternator, dual batteries, (not the ambulance package).
