2011 f250 6.7 L with factory navigation and sync.... got a no gps indicator on map page and nav isn't tracking our correct position . Replaced the gps antenna on the roof which I've been told is a Sirus and nav antenna. No change .... ford tech says my 3.1 sync needs upgrade to 4.6 sync....

Downloaded their upgrade on online to a usb 3.0 32 gb stick and I kept getting a usb removed error on the screen . We had a 16 gb 2.0 usb stick so put the info on it from the ford site. It now states installing file on the screen...

Now I was told by the ford folks it would take 'a while' ... one said 45 minutes to an hour.... that time frame passed and I then called back and heard 2-3 hrs because they want to use the 2.0 usb drive and they transfer slow , 'which is good' per the ford tech... it's been five hours of truck running and no complete message received .. one tech asked me to check the fpn number . I did gave it to him, 'thsts the old number' .... I asked Whst number am I looking for and was told it will vary from your part of the country but thsts the old one so if it changes then u know it up graded... at the time of this posting 5 hours into it, no change .

I asked if I shut the truck off , will it restart were it left off, and was told no it starts over. I would prefer not to make a dealer visit haven't.... honestly not the dealer experience in our local offerings it used to be ...
