I have a 1990 F250 4x4 standard cab with the 5.8l and I'm looking at a set of ceramic coated, long tube, Hooker headers. They are for sale locally to me for $200. Anyone have experience with these? Any thoughts? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Reason: Misspelling
I put a set on my 1990 F150 with 302 back in the day and it shot a big hole in my bottom end. That thing wouldn't pull your hat off, but it screamed above 3000 RPM. Not really meant for trucks IMO. I took em off after about 15K miles.

Thanks for your input. Did they fit well? How were they to install? I'm beginning my quest to purchase some items for a build, which includes a full exhaust with long tube headers. Being the ones I found are brand new and never used, I thought it might save me a few hundred bucks.

There are a few variant of long tubes that each manufacturer has used over the years. The best thing to do is post a photo of the actual header that's for sale, and part number if possible.

They fit OK, I had to dent one tube on the passenger side. Be sure to buy upgraded header gaskets, not the ones the headers come with. Throw those in the trash.
Mine are fine on the 88 with 302. They are the smaller 1.5" primary with 2.5" collector. My powerband broadened from the previous BBK Fox shorty set I had on it.
I would bet the 1.625x3 would be too much for a stock truck 302 for sure. Now that I have more mods, may benefit from those.
Note the roller cam 302s had a larger camshaft, not great but quite a bit over the peanut flat tappet guys.

Is there any particular year of 302 HO camshaft that is the best? I wanted gears, but can't justify an almost $3000 price tag. Now I've got my sights on some engine mods (can't be too hard to swap a cam, amiright?)
Or is there another, not too expensive one that is good?
The 87/88 speed density camshafts are slightly different, what valve events are different I cannot recall. Lift still around 0.444". I believe the LSA is slightly different and off seat duration different.
I like how they perform in trucks with just headers and other cheap mods. My pal has one in his 351W, needs springs but seems to fall off around 5200rpm. 302 seems to pull hair past it.
100% yes better camshafts around, but for cheap? F-it. Flat tappet truck ones are about 177/183 dur and no lift. HO is 206/206 or something. Roller 351 is 195/203 area I think.
