Is this right......
It gets pretty crazy after I left.
I get a message on my phone, with pictures, of additional issues they found....and the price to fix it.
Some of it was just insane, a flickering light bulb in my mirror and a rear taillight, $375, plus tax.
Passenger side rear axle seal, $991.00 plus tax.
Seal between transmission and transfer case, $875.00 plus tax.
And then this BIGGY, front axle U-joints- replace both, $1684.40 plus tax.
They sent me a form where I had to decline and then sign this "text" on my phone.....?????
They took pictures of everything, even my wiper blades that I just replaced this spring before I drove to Yellowstone and Mount Rushmore pulling my trailer, but they said they "streak" and should be replaced.
They took pictures of my 4 tires, said they look real good, well of course, they are brand new too, and that they were wearing properly....but then said in another inspection note that my truck alignment is off and needs to be aligned....I guess my tires didn't get that message?
Not sure if they checked my radio and what stations I listen to....goodness.
Oh, here is another.....brake fluid is full and "test: slightly corrosive, WHAT?
Remember where they said my transmission seal between transfer case was leaking, it caused my transfer case to be "over filled" however under transmission inspection "note" it said transmission fluid is FULL....but dark, where do you think it filled itself from the stuff it leaked?
Oh, here is a good one....Finding: The rear leaf springs are not straight and there is red rust, indicating movement of leaf springs, recommend replacing.
So.....here is my question to you all, should I take out a second mortgage on my home to pay for these much-needed repairs, so I am safe to drive my truck with 160K miles on it?
