I'm chasing a issue of a 30-50 rpm flucuation at idle and driving. I've changed the IPR and cps with one that came with the truck when I bought it. I did a cylinder contribution test first got cylinder 2 then says pass. I tried reading the hall effect of the CPS but all I got were solid lines.( see pic below.) Am I doing something wrong? Does it not show with it being a 97? Obviously my cam sensor isn't totally bad if it is bad, because truck starts up and runs everyday. Icp has no oil in connector. Isn't hard to start or smoky or anything just the idle flucuation pisses me off
Stiction on a 7.3 is usually about the engine oil not allowing the injector to fire when armature clearance is reduced from wear
my bad your right. Whatever is causing this is pushing me to the point I'm about to sell it. Some times it will idle with a little lope then some times it a few rough lopes. Between that and needing a u joint in my front axel which probably partially causing bad pulsating vibration at 70-80mph
