identifying E350 AT gearbox
Hello, new Ford econoline e-350 owner with 7,3 powerstrok engine.
is it possibol to identify gearbox from vin number, engin type, production year or is it only posibel bye looking at the numbers on the gearboks?
i want to get a new filter and oilpan seal for it.

It could be either a C6 three speed or an E4OD four speed with overdrive.
In the driver's door opening is a data tag. Under TR there will be one letter. If that letter is an 'E' you have an E4OD.

Thank you! acording to the tag it is a E =E40D but in the parts catalog thay have a deep pan and a shallow pan, eny tip on identifying what I got?
