Yep, them 5.4's just wont wear out if you use 100% synthetic oil in them. our fleet ones still run good when the rest of the truck is pretty tired so we replace them. 4.6L engine was just as solid they used in the remodeled 97 F150. I ordered one a short bed stabdard cab back then then sold it to a friend who then after several years gave it to his son and its still going and runs as well as when young.

I got your message BFLOYD4445 the 5.4 is a great engine Mine has 360,000 miles on it and still going. I also have a F-350 with a 6.2 and it has over 300,000 miles on it. Then there is my old Ranger 1984 with a V/6 Like I always say "you can't beat a Ford engine"and it still runs good and my 1984 Magnum F-350 duelly with a good old 460 in it, Like I always say "you can't beat a Ford engine"!
