I recently picked up a 2005 Ford Excursion and I'm having some issues with the middle row interior dome lighting. The middle row is not getting any power regardless of if it's via the doors opening, the doors unlocking, by the switch at each of the two lights, or the dash switch.
I went through the overhead console and fixed everything and even upgraded to LED lighting and added additional lights. But I'm still not getting any power to the middle row. The third row and far back cargo area lights do seem to be working.
I was wondering if anybody went through this before and has any suggestions? Also is there anyone with their headliner out that can show pictures of the wiring to and from the middle row switches in the headliner?
Got it figured out. turns out one of the previous owners had the headliner down and they did not reconnect either of the middle lights. The plugs were right there against the three copper strips, but they never pushed them on until they clicked so it wasn't getting power on either one. Simply had to drop the light assemblies out of the headliner click them into place and then add the LED festoon bulbs
