Turn Signal Help!

Hello Guys!

I need some help figuring my turn signal issues.

Heres the run down to the best I can do.

Hazards work, pulling the lever creates light
Lights (the bulbs) work

No turn signals work with the lever mechanism

However, when going to the wire junction (hazard switch) and shorting out the bottom right 2, I get right turn signal activation.

Unable to bypass to get the left signal to work.

Shorting the two wires to get right signal

What the mess looks like (everything done by previous /original owner)

Is it just smart to straight up replace the whole mechanism? Or can I start looking in certain areas of the steering column (I have tilt)

I take it you have checked the easy stuff like the fuse, replace just not looked at it, and the flasher.
There are 2 flashers, 1 for the turn signals and the other for 4 way.
You can swap then to test.
If you have done that and still workie then I say yes just replace them.

Oh if the truck has been sitting the turn signal contacts get a funk on them.
Try spraying electrical contact cleaner on the switch and move it a bunch of times and see if that works.

I would replace the switch or at the very least try what FuzzFace2 suggested and try to clean the contacts before replacement.

If you are shorting the switch out and getting some of the lights to flash, then it's obviously the switch at fault.
