Question Looking to boost a 300, any tuning that I should be aware of?

Hey all,
I've got a base model '91 F-150 single cab short bed with the venerable 300 6-banger. I got it a little over a year ago to make my daily, and I'm in love it with. However, I would like to do some mods/upgrades to it to make it just a bit faster and squeeze out a bit more gas mileage from it (though I know it won't be much). The truck I have has Ford's big *** EFI system, which I'm looking to replace with a Holley Sniper EFI (550-552) Autolite 1100 system. I've heard lots of great things about this system, but I'm mainly getting it to reduce as much tuning to the stock computer as possible. I've got the E4OD (4x4) transmission in my truck, and I understand that there may be some tuning required to the stock computer if I were to boost the engine. My question is, would there be any tuning that I would have to do to the stock computer in relation to the transmission when boosting it, or would I just be able to leave it alone? If there are any aftermarket computers that would work for my case, please send them my way.
Any help is appreciated - thanks!
