Body swap

Hello. I have a 1948 2 door coupe body that I want to put on a 2008 Explorer chassis. Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

From: Kemptville, ON,
Star by measuring the wheel base length. Then the track width. Sometimes these swaps work, many don't do well. If you can do it and do it well, the car will drive like a truck, is that what you want?

My reasoning is that it would give me a 4x4 car capable of handling a trailer. I also have a 1947 F1 that I could use if it is wide enough. Looks like I need to break out a measuring tape.

Guy I use to work with put a Bronco II body on an F 150 4x4 chassis for rock crawling. Looked a bit odd but did the job he wanted. Anything's possible with enough time, patience, money and acetylene.

In early 80s I put a pinto station wagon on a 67 Broncos with 289 it drove great back then all our home made lifts made them bump steer and dangerous but mine was a stock chassis and I fit 38 monster murders under it and being stock it drove great
