Power window rolls down by itself.

On our 2023, the drivers window would only go half way up then we'd hit it again to roll it all the way up then it would automatically open again almost immediately. It does it on the one touch up as well as when we hold the button to raise. Has anyone experienced this, I don't recall seeing a similar post?

Thanks,

Dave

Hi, Dave! Feel free to send us a DM with your vehicle's VIN and mileage. We'd be happy to look into this for you.

You probably just need to re-train the window limits. I never had this problem on 2011,2015,2017 or 2020 trucks. But it seems to be pretty common on 23-24 trucks. Takes 10 seconds to retrain your window where to stop and not bounce back.

^^^^ There's a YouTube video showing this process - very easy to do.

Yes, window relearn procedure. Basically roll it up and hold the button up for a few seconds.

Thanks guys, we've done the "relearn" and it seems to be working for now. We'll see if it happens again.

Cheers,
Dave

Don't want to thread hi-jack but I pinged DPelletier and tired the YouTube method.
It did not work.
Tried to turn on of ignition multiple times and follow the push down, then release and hold again.
Up (bounce back occurred) then up again. (still bounce back) again release and hold (even though there was bounce back) and it does not fix the problem.

Time to take to dealer and have them sort it out?

This is from the owners manual. try this first to get it closed

OVERRIDING WINDOW BOUNCEBACK
WARNING: If you override
bounce-back, the window does not
reverse if it detects an obstacle. Take
care when closing the windows to avoid
personal injury or damage to your
vehicle.
1. Close the window until it reaches the
point of resistance and let it reverse.
2. Lift and hold the window control switch
within two seconds to override
bounce-back and close the window.
Bounce-back is now disabled and you
can close the window manually.
Note: The window goes past the point of
resistance and you can fully close it.
Note: If the window does not close, have
your vehicle checked as soon as possible.

Then try this to reset one press auto up and down

Resetting One-Touch Close
Carry out all steps within 30 seconds of
starting the sequence.
1. Close the window.
2. Press and hold the window control
switch until the window is fully open.
Keep the window control switch
pressed for a few seconds.
3. Lift and hold the window control switch
until the window is fully closed. Keep
the window control switch held for a
few seconds.
4. Press and hold the window control
switch until the window is fully open.
Keep the window control switch
pressed for a few seconds.
5. Lift and hold the window control switch
until the window is fully closed. Keep
the window control switch held for a
few seconds.
Note: Repeat the procedure if the window
does not close when you use one-touch.

Good luck.
