I haven't swapped the reverse light bulbs in my Super Duty yet, but I have done so on other vehicles with mixed results. If the LED bulbs are too bright, it will wash the camera out and it makes the image terrible.
I added these Hella to one of the upfitter switches. Made the brackets that slide into the hitch. Hard to see them in the top photo. Used to have a better one.
I originally bought some random ones off Amazon that were super bright but burned out within 6 months. Then I saw Slyvania now makes LED backup bulbs and they work great. Not as bright but still better than stock.

That is a clean install... what size insert did you use?
I used the previous version of these for direct replacement of the halogen bulbs in the truck in the sig. I have had no problems with the camera washing out. The D15 LEDs are plenty bright.
I also added some Nylight LED floods under the back bumper in similar fashion to posts above. They are on Upfitter #1. They can wash out the reverse camera a bit, which among other reasons is why they are not turned on with the reverse lights. The D15 LEDs are plenty bright.

I had some 2” od square fiberglass tubing. Fit in snug into the hitch. I did put in one screw in the front facing side to hold them. Put the screw outside of the hitch bracket that bolts to the frame in order not to effect anything with the hitch capacity. 2” steel should be the same dimensions. Lights fit in with just a bit of room to spare.
