In response to all of this, I have received calls today from people upset that I have provided this information, Just because the truck has an early build date does not mean that it WILL have problems, Just look at Tim larkins truck, it runs fine. If your truck has a driveability issue get it looked at! Not all the trucks run badly and if it does there are ways of dealing with it. I will not post any further help if this is not understood.....The late trucks with the "good" program and injectors will have problems also, I guarantee it. That is why every Ford dealer has and will keep a service department....
Guys, I will help any way I can but I will not and can not risk my job......
But to be honest you havent provided us with any information we could not have gotten if we went to our dealers and asked/demanded answers to vaild questions.
You have been and I hope you will continue to be a wealth of knowlege and understanding
and Ford should be proud to have a spokesman like you to answer the concerns of its customers
I bought my 03 knowing there might be an issue. But after 6 fords I know that they will fix it. I was reflashed and had a window leak fixed, then hooked up to 9,000lb camping trailer and headed to Virginia Beach. I'm now moving to Alaska, and I know my Ford will get me there and any dealer on the way will help me, if not I'm a highly trained weapons specialist and I know we will overcome our issues....lol. I have faith in the blue oval or I wouldn't let my wife and twins drive one!

Andy they all msut undrerstand that not all (early)build dates are bad.
One of my other post addresses this issue, just because you have, a certain build date does not mean the thing will not work.
I also have a Jan build date , 16,000 miles and the only real problem I have had until this weekend was the leaking rear main, and I'm still not sure if it was a bad seal or just the installation grease, since the tech didn't check with dye, just replaced the seal. I have a squeal from the rear end area now, but I suspect the u-joints need greasing and will do that tonight to confirm.
emtabmm - I don't know how you find the time to help us owners out so much, but if it weren't for you, my dealer would have had to spend a lot of time 'splanin things to me.
Thanks Coro, and you are welcome. I feel that if I dont spend the time there will be a lot of dissatisfied client's out there and I have this info so it would be unfair to withhold it.....
