ordered this spring, just took delivery july 2024 f350 xlt (low) tremor 7.3 gas. has dummy hub on right. anyone else? bad for LSD? ford finally cheaping out on tremors mid-2024? minimal results in my searches, plan to reach out to dealer. 600 miles, coming home hear that clacking in the front on low speed turns, parking lots, just like my older Warn manuals i'd leave locked all winter.
I have a dummy hub on right side too ('24 f250 xlt). Left side can be automatic (vacuum IIRC) or manual if the vac fails.
His has the Tremor pkg, does yours?
I can only remember reading of 1 other owner who had a Tremor that came with the dummy hub lock. Pretty sure it was a factory mistake and I believe he ended up getting rid of the truck. The Tremor pkg trucks should have a selectable hub on both sides.

Good point -- nope mine does not. I incorrectly assumed that all the trucks came with them.
first tried reaching out to brandon4 in that thread but his mailbox is full, undeliverable. emailed dealer with issue and will f/u after this long labor day weekend and post updates. all input appreciated.
Mine is not the Tremor but I replaced the factory hubs with these. Didn't like having one axle spinning all the time and prefer the manual hubs anyway.
I'd be concerned that the front Axel doesn't have the limited slip feature that should come with the tremor package or if it does what kind of damage is being done to it or not with one side being locked in all the time.
dealer service appointment set for thursday morning. vacuum lines ARE there and connected.
all other numbers with which i'm familiar match, others don't return clear search results. any insight as to the below markings appreciated, specifically the 5 underlined.
thanks to all so far. Friss, SSM 52423 is at the ready. Senix, I read you loud and clear.

Dealer service received truck yesterday. This will not be a quick in-and-out hub swap like a typical recall (90s cruise control fuses, anyone?)
Service said "Big Ford" is actually stepping in through the service manager and conducting a detailed mechanical, and process, investigation. Ford absolutely understands the mechanical consequences of their oversight, and is apparently equally concerned that it happened both factory AND special order. Service outlined those 3 distinct points, directly to me, unprompted by me. I had said as little as necessary, as directly as possible. Thanks again to the FTE seniors for gifting me the "magic words".
Glad I caught it early, less than 750 miles documented on the service intake. Glad I'm not getting brushed off by Ford. Don't anticipate drama, but should my case become the Watergate that saves a million future owners from a class-action circus, so be my turn in the barrel. Harrowingly unsure that a new, young owner would have perceived the distinct feel of a locked hub with a disengaged transfer case in 2H, or know to listen for what could easily be dismissed as rocks in the tread.
