1,000% this, and whoo boy, did ya strike a nerve here! It's unfortunately becoming "the way" of society, from automotive to RVs, home construction, 2A and beyond. A "warranty" used to keep honest work honest. That was when a reputation led to a handshake on a deal where BOTH parties prospered. That was the old society, focused, big picture, long view, community.
Now, it's confrontational, "us" vs. "them", win / lose. "They" have corrupted warranties into a backdoor way for only "them" to gain, at the expense of "us". Can't pull out of your driveway without thinking, if something happens, how's my lawyer's story going to stack up against theirs?" Guilty until proven innocent thinking. That's today's society of distracted, disjointed, instant gratification, individual.
Morbid perspective, but those who adapt survive. You have to document everything today. Nonetheless, if you had 2 lawyers, 4 paralegals, 8 secretaries and 16 investigators guiding you 24/7, you're still gonna get blindsided. Stay sharp, but LIVE YOUR LIFE.
Rant over.

I lived this with my 5th wheel the 1st year I owned it. There were a couple minor issues I could have fixed myself so I didn't bother making a fuss when I purchased but then did about 10k miles of shakedown in 4 months and found a service department an hour from me to handle actual warranty concerns I had. 11 of them actually. I called about a dozen dealerships before finding one who could get me in within a month. One was booked out 3 months for a diagnostic appointment. The RV service department had my 5th wheel from the end of January to the Friday before Memorial Day and I called them once a month for updates. They were always "We are waiting on Grand Design for this" "We need authorization for that". So I would play middle man between Grand Design and the dealer. I demanded on Monday that if my 5th wheel wasn't finished by Friday I was taking it back anyways. They claimed it was done on Friday morning so I drove over to get it and they couldn't find it. Searched both lots they had about 5 acres each and couldn't find it. Well, it was still in the service bay and they weren't done. They did 3 of the 11 fixes. Grand Design was zero help and the dealership was horrible to deal with.
Warranties are virtually useless nowadays. No loaners, no care for the customer being without their expensive new vehicle for weeks or months at a time. If Ford does a buyback they just turn right back around and sell the truck within the month.
