She must be long torso with short legs. My wife is 5'-3.5" and can drive her Excursion fine with the seat adjusted mostly forward and up higher, it allows her to reach the pedals. Now when I'm driving, her feet don't reach in the passenger side, which is why she uses the door map pocket, dash, and/or transmission tunnel hump to put her feet on. She's been doing it that way for 20+ years now...
thats how she drives. If she lowers the seat she can touch the floor but then can’t see over the dash. So she raises the seat and puts her foot on the map pocket lol.
She's even got them all painted up for the photo op! Nice work making your wife happy/comfortable.
I have another idea. She could ride in the middle close to you and use the transmission tunnel for her feet.
Hard to beat the KISS method for stuff like this. You might consider picking up some adhesive backed Velcro to secure everything to the floormat. I see those pads getting kicked out from time to time. On a windy day like we get here in Oklahoma they'd be two counties over in the blink of an eye.
But like others have said, she doesn't seem to have an issue reaching the floor normally. Which I find odd because she usually has issues on everything else, like couches, recliners, kitchen chairs etc. Maybe she can't reach and is just so used to it that she doesn't complain.
