Short legs?

My wife is 5’2, she hates riding in the truck cause her feet don’t reach the floor and her legs go numb. Aside from a shoe box, does anyone else have this problem and what did you do to fix it?

This is the #1 reason my wife likes driving the excursion. She’s also 5’2. Must have been an option, my 2002 Excursion came with adjustable pedals. Maybe you can find some and mount them in your truck?

I think he said she is "riding", like as a passenger.

I would make a short box from lumber, and put some carpet on the top,
so she can step up to the door sill, then onto the new raised floor.

The problem is in the passenger seat. I’m considering building a box. But she can’t drive it either even with the power seat adjusted. Just the tips of her toes hit the pedals and it’s funny to watch when she hits a bump and whacks the throttle

You could always just trade her in on a newer model.

The wife NOT the truck.

IMO,
the Ford seats do NOT go low enough for the average man....

this is true in my Excursion, and in my sisters Ford Raptor...
my head hits the ceiling and it will NOT go down.

Do they have sunroofs? A sunroof robs you of a couple inches of headroom. I have never found any vehicle with a sunroof that I could comfortably sit in.

Get some horse stall mats and cut them into floor mats that fit the area then stack them up to the right height. You could taper them on the entry side making a stairstep or angled edge that might be easier to step over. You could screw or bolt them together, or glue them or even use Velcro.

My wife is 5-3 and doesn’t have any issues riding in or driving the truck. Maybe their proportions are different 🤷‍♂️.
Is it possibly the seat back is worn causing your wife to sit further back in the seat creating the issue with her feet?

even scooted forward on the seat, she doesn’t reach. Driver or passenger side. She’s got short legs lol

She must be long torso with short legs. My wife is 5'-3.5" and can drive her Excursion fine with the seat adjusted mostly forward and up higher, it allows her to reach the pedals. Now when I'm driving, her feet don't reach in the passenger side, which is why she uses the door map pocket, dash, and/or transmission tunnel hump to put her feet on. She's been doing it that way for 20+ years now...

Weird. My wife is 5' 3" I think her feet touch the passenger floor 🤔 I know she'd complain if they didn't

If I try to get in her car the steering wheel pinches my legs since it's 3" off the seat, so I have to raise it up. I look in the rearview mirror and I see my crotch so have to adjust it up. I look in the side mirror and I see my shoulder so have to move it out. I have to slide the seat back 6" so my knees aren't hitting the turn signal stalk. Then when the car runs over an ant I bump my head on the headliner so have to lower the seat and inch or more. When she buys dresses she claims she's short waisted, when it's shirts she says she has a short torso, and when she buys pants she needs petite or capris cause then she's short legged. At that point what's left in a body to take up the height above a 3ft tall person that all her car's stuff is set for?

She must have a really long neck and 80’s hair.
