Door ajar light

99expedition door ajar light stays on while driving . When parked the side panel lights stay on until I pull on the rear hatch window . They go off but randomly turn back on. Woken up to a dead battery sever
al times. Any suggestions?

Bad switch, possible the one for the rear hatch since tugging on the hatch affects the issue.

If you have a laptop and the ForScan app you can use the app to watch the door switch reaction when you open and close the doors / liftgate / etc .... to see the culprit(s) ....

Try some WD40

My 97 Exp did this several years ago. I good spray of WD40 in the door hinge mechanism cleared it up for me.
