Brake upgrade
i routinely haul a trailer with my Backhoe loader with a gross plus gooseneck trailer at 18,000 pounds. My driving to and from job sites includes narrow roads and steep grades.
What a difference! Before I’d had brake fade, now after 5000 miles no brake fade and stopping distances from 55-60 are much better.
Any of you that haul heavy 5th wheel RVs ought to upgrade. The entire set, including hardware and pins was $800. Maybe pricey compared to OEM but the safety factor is worth it.
WELCOME TO FTE!
I am not surprised at your improved performance. The ceramic pads can be tough on vented rotor life though.
I hope you give us an update on how well they last after a year or so.
Good Luck and Stay Safe!
