I recently purchased this truck need someone to help decode the vin please Vin tag on Drivers door F60DCF74037 Not in bad shape farm grain truck all her life.
F74037 = 1969 numerical series, Probably August 1969 production--fairly late in the run. '69 numbers went through G30,000 per the MPC but only F63,999 per the shop manual.
174 = 174 inch wheelbase

A = New Process model 435 four speed transmission
F2 = Eaton model 15201 two speed rear axle, 15,000 lbs capacity, 5.83 / 8.12 ratios
No front axle code. Only optional axles were shown '64 to '69. Thus, a Ford axle with at least 4,500 lbs capacity without power steering.
