D = 330 2V HD FT gas V8
R = San Jose assembly plant
C84316 = 1968 numerical series, February 1968 production
174 = 174 inch wheelbase

4B = Black leather grain vinyl with black "component color"
81 = Standard cab, cab and chassis vehicle
O = New Process model 541 five speed direct transmission
F8 = Eaton model 13802 two speed rear axle, 15,000 lbs capacity, 6.33 / 8.81 ratios
No front axle code which means standard Ford axle, at least 5,000 lbs capacity
20000 = 20,000 lbs GVWR
164 3800 = 164 certified net HP @ 3800

7643 = Special order number. (The usual stuff like drivetrain and color are filled in here, so no idea what the special order would be. Possibly just this configuration.
