2022 F250. Purchased June 2024, 43000 miles. I visited dealer regarding Ford ESP premium. I was quoted $5200 plus tax for a 6 year ir 60000 mile Premium coverage plan. I am also responsible for the inspection, which i was quoted 437.50 plus tax. Sounds a little steep, are these warranties priced differently by individual dealers?

In case you weren't aware, that 60k ESP warranty is only an additional 17,000 miles on top of your existing mileage, or 6 years from original purchase date. Sounds like you drive enough that you'd be out of warranty way before the 6 year period is up. Get a quote from Granger Ford if you don't live in Florida or California.
I bought Premium Care from Ziegler for my 2022 F350 gasser and it was $2200 for 7yrs/125,000 miles.
I bought the truck with 10,000 miles on it in October of ‘23 as “Certified”.
Your dealer is raping you dry.
I would decline it from the dealer and go to Ziegler, Flood or others.
So, I purchased the truck used. It had 42800 miles when i purchased it June 1st. Now its at 43800 miles. So 1000 miles in about 2 1/2 months. I was led to believe the miles (60k) was on top of the 42800 so i thought id be covered till about 100k.. the cost is $5200 plus tax!!!! Jeez..

You are outside the window (mileage) for a "New" vehicle warranty. What you are being quoted on is a used vehicle warranty and it does require an inspection. The cost absolutely can vary from dealership to dealership. Granger sells discounted used vehicle ESP's, check them out.

The extended warranty landscape is a mine field. Do not believe anything the salesperson tells you. They are either misinformed or purposely trying to deceive. I've come to understand that the mileage/years terms of some used car warranties are additive to the current miles and date. The details are in the contract which you should review before purchase. Also, make sure the dealer is quoting a Ford extended warranty. Many sell other products and offer them first as they make more profit from 3rd party warranties. They can also slip in other coverage such as interior and exterior protection plans that add to the cost. Shop carefully.

Assuming less than 36 months (from in service date), 43K miles, 6yr, 60K mile $200 ded (all they offered for 60K miles) and assuming a gas truck, I get
$170 for inspection and $3815 from Grainger "used" vehicle warrantee cost calculator.
It has this note, which leans towards "extra" coverage from date of warrantee purchase, but wording is a little "weak", IMO.
Note: Years and miles listed for this coverage are calculated from the coverage start date and odometer mileage at the time coverage begins
Like the op m mentioned…
From Granger site :
“Note: Years and miles listed for this coverage are calculated from the coverage start date and odometer mileage at the time coverage begins”
I will be calling someone for explanation… but how would you interpret?
My interpretation is coverage starts the day i purchase and 75000 miles on top of the current odometer. (Example 6 yr 75000 miles. Used premium esp)
So i went ahead with Granger Ford ESP. Total price $3465 including the FOB and the interior/exterior lighting supplements.. 6 yr//60,000 miles. The total price includes the points I redeemed in Ford Pass which equals $119.00. Since i purchased within 90 days the dealer used car inspection should be suffice, that should save me inspection fees (I hope)

On "New Car" warrantees, it's interesting that you have to delete interior/exterior lighting, vs adding it..........
