CPO vs ESP

I'm going to be buying a 2018 here this week with about 20k miles. It is not CPO at the moment but from the looks of things it would qualify after inspection. To get it certified the dealer says that it costs them $700 or so, which I'm assuming I would have to pay.

Is there any reason to get the Flood/Ziegler ESPs? I know that the Flood ESP would cost ~400-600 more than to get the truck certified, but I could get longer coverage with more miles from them.

I found a lot of threads about CPO and ESPs, but not comparing the two.

Thanks ahead of time.

No brainer......Go with a Ford Premium Care ESP and call it a day.
Yes, it’ll cost a bit more but it’s worth it.

Skip the CPO sham and pay to get the ESP and a used vehicle inspection. The CPO only pads the dealership. All it does is extend basic powertrain coverage for 7/100k from in service and gives a 12/12k extended comprehensive warranty on other components. I always opt for the 8/150k Premium ESP and pay the dealership the 190.00 for the inspection. I get mine from Lombard Ford. Any dealer can do the ESP inspection.

I also suggest Lombard Ford and that’s who I purchased my Ford Premium ESP from.
