Dash help

So I currently have the dash out of my 92 f 250 chasing down wiring issues. While it is out I am looking to reseal the vents since it is all accessible. What is everyone using to seal the vent up because I am not finding much as far as replacement foam. Is this just something to use a generic foam insulation on or more specific.

if this question has already been answered a million times I apologize.

Honestly, I am not sure what you are asking. The heater box gets its air from the cowl area under the wipers. What dashboard vents are you looking to reseal?

These foam seals that stick to the back of the dash and seal to the heater box.

Honestly don’t know what they are “technically” called.

I would measure the dimensions and then see what is available with an adhesive backing. I can usually find something like that on a roll from McMaster-Carr.

Home Depot has a big selection of stick-on foam like that
Also, parts stores have the heavier duty kind for a camper shell to bed interface

This place has every kind of foam imaginable: https://www.thefoamfactory.com/

I've used them for hood scoop seals and even gas tank insulator pads. They have everything.

Slick link. In the past I have just used that stuff from Ace Hardware, but something more durable seems great.
