Does anyone have any experience with unpinning the wiring harness for the 2007 F150. I've looked on YouTube and I found one for the dash and that's it. Surely someone has done this before. I've gotten it all the way down to were the male pins are exposed but I can't figure out to to take the wires out. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Update. The pins unfortunately come out the front and not the back as I was hoping they would🙄.

There is a tool assortment on Amazon, comes on a keyring, about 20-30 different ones for unpinning for cheap.

I already have one but see no way to remove them. The one I seen someone else do had a cover over the pins and all you had to do was raise the tabs and they come out. There's no room in the back of the harness for anything to get past the wires

From my experience, they build two types of plugs; repairable or non-repairable... the NON is usually potted/ sealed/ epoxied, and you just have to spline in a totally new plug

Quick guess, IMHO is repairable. able to add/remove, replace, w/ special tool, and Ford dealer Mechanics are trained/ equipped in HOW? Been wrong before, but Certified Tech can probably provide detail. E.g. RVs/ motorhomes use quick install 120vac receptacles that wires are pressed into.... TOOL sells for about $150.00; there are some work arounds, and some arguments on quality/ safety, etc.
FOUND THIS FROM A 2016 POST: "The best tool you can get would be an EVTM for your truck. That's Electrical and Vacuum Trouble shooting Manual for those who hate acronyms.

I think you are on the right track by isolating and adding the missing circuits from your old harness. Manipulating the connectors can be done with picks and thin screwdrivers. In general, the Ford electrical plugs have a red insert that locks the pins into place. Pry out the insert and you can usually reach the locking tang with a thin flat screwdriver and release the connector." this on AMAZON:

Apparently there's a short in the ground wire near the valve. I got power back on the purple wire after tearing half the truck up. If it's not hot out tomorrow hopefully I can wrap up this problem and move onto others😒. Am I wrong in thinking that if you roll down the dimmer switch that it will turn off the bed lights? I was sending Morse code earlier 🙄. I guess worse case senerio is just take the bulb back out. It doesn't help with the interior lights that refuse to go out. The light on the dash goes out when you shut the doors but not the lights themselves 🧟.
