Exclamation 6.0 2003 Scanner

I have limited experience with scanners- will the Autel MK808S give me all the data i need to figure why my Constant Misery 2003 6.0 crank wont start. 158K miles, oil rails stand pipes replaced by previous owner- pressure tested and confirmed aftermarket HOP went out, i just installed new HOP Diesel Site high volume oil pump- - this one shop installed new turbo then the ICP went out but at same time i believe the crapola HOP with 4000 miles was failing - had the system calibrated at turbo shop replacement (OEM), but i believe the tech turned the EGR back on as getting a RED X from cheap Autel reader -
the FICM was purchased May 2022, rebuilt and sent out second time for calibration / verification Oct 2023- injectors hitting OK
new main wire harness, new OEM Injector harness -new sensors

question is will MK808S delete the EGR and rest the system so it will start- i just have to learn to work the MK808

The EGR fault will not prevent the engine from starting. Lots of other things will, EGR is not one of them. Need to figure out what the ICP and IPR are doing.

Yes sir- i made the mistake of not learning more of the 6.0 - got spoiled with 2003 7.3 that had no problems in 10 years & I've been burnt by too many Experts & ripped off for about $6,000 - so what is best scanner for home with 6.0 ? looking at Autel 2024 MS808S

The best you can get for home use is free. FORscan, a Windows laptop/tablet and an inexpensive ELM327. Wired preferably, Bluetooth is ok for reading PID's, I wouldn't trust it for any programming. I left the dealer in 04 right after we got our 1st 6.0's in and took a look under the hood.

I left just in time.
