Well guess I need to do the tinfoil test here soon. Been fairly sure one of my clamps isn't seated properly since putting in new up pipes and even though I see zero soot or exhaust fumes with a flashlight there's a leak somewhere.
Pulling my 6500lb camper today and going 100kph on flat with minimal wind boost psi was 9-10 and up small hills and with a good headwind was readily 12ish and unloaded doing 110kph it's hovers around 8. My tow tune is fairly basic, but those numbers seem kinda low don't they?
On my hotter tunes before new up pipes I was 12-15psi unloaded doing 110kph and with a good headwind hitting 20psi so hopefully just seating and not a hole or crack somewhere lol 🤪
Sounds like those are consistent pressures, can you stomp on it and peg it out at 27? EGTs are fine, it pulls strong enough, MPGs didn't drastically drop suddenly? Low pressure absent an underboost CEL could be normal based on PCM flash (whatever root file the tune is based on), pressure is the result of the engine not flowing all the air the turbo is pushing, it doesn't necessarily mean low flow. Low flow is going to show up as something like high EGT, smoke, down on power, terrible MPG, and bad shifts in a automatic.
But that's just a devil's advocate moment to think through all the everything before you tear into it, it really does feel like you have a leak. Any way to get the commanded IPR% reading while driving?

There's no lack of power really, MPG is normal, shifts good, EGT'S are well within range and no smoke unless I mash on it and only a small puff of black smoke so maybe I'm just seeing proper boost numbers now since putting in the new up pipes. I got PCD to make me a as close to stock tune and possibly so it ended up basically being a mild +40hp tow tune so I'm going to run the MPD 2.4 tune when I get home from camping and see how the truck performs.
I'll still put tinfoil on both pipe connections and check after 100kms or so to check for soot and see what's what.
Towed my 6500lb camper yesterday with truck loaded to the ***** and EGT'S never really went past 900f, but it's all flat highway and i didn't go over 100kph. 5 passengers in cab and probably 1500lbs worth of cargo and truck did fine, but seemed a bit low on power and I figure it's just the tune so I'm going to try towing on the MPD 1.6 tune and see how that is and if I don't like it or EGT'S get too high I'll try a tow tune from Gearhead and give it a whirl.
