Finally titling and plating my new to me Excursion and upon driving it for a while the OD light flashes. Granted it has sat for a few years rarely being moved till I got it.
it comes up P1745, but also will have pending P0171 and P0174.
While I know the later two are lean condition codes, could they also be the cause of the TCC slip?
I ask this as the X goes down the highway fine with the RPM’s being reasonable for the speed. I also am curious if it sitting for a few years, last tagged in 21, could be part of it as it had a shudder to that seems to be going away as I drive it.
I plan on spending some time tomorrow diagnosing the leak condition codes.
I'd dump 4 cans of Berryman B12 in the tank fill it up, and drive it like you stole it to clean out that fuel system. That should clear out the lean codes as they may be related to sticky injectors that aren't dumping enough fuel.
With the TCC issue, you may need fluid or your torque is on its way out. @Mark Kovalski can speak more on this.

I got some carb cleaner and poked around under the hood to no avail. So it doesn’t seem I have an intake leak.
I put a can of B12 in it but may bump it up and keep driving.
At the recommendation of a local A/T guy I belong to lodge with I put a bottole of Lubeguard Conditioner in it which in my short drive home (Added it right there in the parking lot) seemed to have started to make a difference but it still tripped the P1744 code, which is always a “Pending” code it’s never set.
It’s full of fluid, hot in park (after driving) and it’s just right up above the cross hatches.
Berryman is rather "polite" with their recommendations for dosing. Always over do it, you'll get better results, sooner. Ask me how I know...
I agree with Toreador Diesel, my Ex is not a DD and only used for road trips and I always use at least two cans of Berryman, the large size. It is the best product out there to clean your fuel system, it works!!!! Remember you have a 44 gal fuel tank so 4 cans is not to much.
I had a 2000 V-10 X that sat for 8 years. The local Fire Dept parked it in early 2008 when gas went to $5/gallon and never drove it again. 89k miles. Owner 2 bought it Nov 2016, did an oil change and slapped 2 calipers on it. Drove <1,000 miles with zero maintenance otherwise. I (Owner 3) traded a F-250 for it in early 2017 at 90k miles. She had a weird skip/miss and around 40mph would just act odd. Surging is best way to describe. I should have run some of the Berryman through her.
I ended up doing a complete plug change along with boots, oil change, and replaced almost the entire brake system after ABS module to calipers themselves. Along with exhaust and various sensors/modules under the body that were corroded from sitting. My spark plugs were absolute trash. Corroded, worn out, just looked nasty. 2 or 3 of them were loose in the hole. I got lucky that they didn't eject. After shooting the parts cannon, she ran really nice
Overall was a really good rig after 6+ months of fighting stupid stuff. Letting a vehicle sit is the worst thing ever for them. Good luck with yours. I recommend the Berrymans and then changing the sparkplugs/verify torque
