since my plans have changed with the f100, I'm going a different route with the engine. I've always liked Clevelands , so what better than a c for a truck than a 400? It's just a tall deck Cleveland and they're very easy to get power out of now. I picked this 400 up this morning. Guy did an ls swap into his 76 f150 (booo) but not before doing a bunch of work to this. It's really clean, plugs look fantastic, and it's got some decent parts on it already. I paid the pricely sum of $250 for it.
the cam is the unknown. i got it from the guy who did the swap on the truck and did the work on the 400 (small shop), not the owner. he couldn't remember what cam he had installed, but said it ran great. when i replace the water pump, i'm going to pull the front cover and see what timing set is in it and see if there's a p/n on the cam.
