Ok, so basically, I just feel like I should be getting more air than I’m getting when I have the system up at high fan speed. My high is what I’d expect to be like a mid to low-mid level. I don’t remember having issues in the past, so I’m sure it’s new. I can switch fine to defrost, feet, etc… but in all instances it’s just wimpy amounts of air. I can hear the fan increasing speed as I increase the speed on the controls, and by the sound of it I should be getting blasted. The air that is coming out is cold btw.
I’m seeing 3 possible problematic parts:
- Blower resistor - could this be limiting me to get up to full speed?
- Blower fan - maybe?
- Actuator doors - maybe?
I’m so sorry… this is like, did you check the fuses?
Before I asked my question, I hadn’t checked the filter. I just barely pulled it, and it was the dirtiest filter I had ever seen!!!! I didn’t think it would restrict it that much, which is why I defaulted to it being a mechanical issue.
I just ran and swapped it, and happy (and embarrassed) to report that it fixed it!! I’m surprised that it caused that much flow issue. Wow! I’ve got lots of air blowing through now.
Or, like in "Slingblade" where the guys says the mower won't start, and billy bob thornton character says "Does it have gas in it?" and, of course, the tank is dry...
