P1316 Troubles
I just bought an '01 F-250 7.3 with 360K on it from my dad, and it has a P1316 Code. I know that code is an Injector driver module code, and I am having a hard time identifying the problem. I have pulled the IDM connector off from inside the fender well, and checked the injector resistances (injector #7 was 3.2 ohms everything else was 3.0 ohms). I have replaced the engine wiring harness with one from K.B. Diesel Performance, the driver's side UVCH was replaced with a Doorman from O'Riley, and the injectors were rebuilt recently by Diesel Care and Performance. Does this seem like an IDM problem? Is there a way to do a bench test?
The truck also has been tuned to a high performance mode to elevate the rough running. It has an old Edge Products tuner that currently gives a "cannot connect to bridge" when I hook it up to connect. I am not sure if that contributes to the problem, but I just want to make sure I mention it.
Thanks all for the help.
Did u find the problem??? I also thougt its the IDM, but i wanna check the other stuff before i change the IDM..... Cause its a little bit expensive....
Yeah I finally just broke down and replaced the IDM, it solved the problem. I bought one from Flagship One (link below). It is identical to the one Riffraff sells and has a lifetime warranty. Hope this helps!
