I did 4 wheel drum with a power booster and the brake pedal took very little effort, almost to little, it took some getting used to but I liked it

That's my understanding of how the bore diameter difference plays out. I'll be interested in your impressions once you get it installed because I have been considering this upgrade for my '56. The present pedal in my stock system is certainly high and plenty hard, so I don't think a small degradation in how the pedal feels will be a big factor. I guess if you (we) do ever decide to go to disks in front a different master would be needed. Which "kit" did you decide on?

I'm at a disadvantage in a comparison of stock and Mustang master cylinders because I've never driven my truck with stock brakes. The brake weren't working when I got it and I decided to upgrade rather than sink money into the stock system. I'm fabricating my own bracket, and bought the '67-'72 Mustang drum/drum dual circuit master from an online parts house, plus I'm replacing all the hard lines. I'll report my results, but at 75 I move slowly. lol!
