My 2024 super duty is quiet while driving. I’ve added the weather tech in channel deflectors because I like the ability to lower the window while parked. Now I have noticeable wind noise. Anyone try putting a 1/4” goal foam up in the channel to tighten the gap?
The in-channels I have never had good luck with for anything. I always go with the stick-ons, but you've got to make sure to clean everything and follow the instructions to the letter.
Yah I would never use the in-channel style. Seems like a terrible idea to me. Having said that, make sure you are happy with them before you install the stick-on style. I have actually seen them damage the paint upon attempted removal from a pickup truck before. That 3M tape is no joke.

My experience also with in channel. I've never had a stick on window deflector or bug shield come off through many, many car washes. In fact I don't think I could remove them without breaking so they go with the truck at trade time.
Not that our responses help the OP. But they may help someone else to decide which way they might go with this accessory.
On the topic of wind noise, you are going to get that with any kind of window shade/deflector. I have Wade in channel deflectors and they make some degree of wind noise, but I despise getting into a hot vehicle this time of year so they're going to stay.
I don't think there's anything you can do about the noise save removing the deflectors. Going to stick on will not make the noise go away.
