Window Grinding noise?

Window Grinding noise?
My 04' F150 has a grinding/scraping noise when i roll the window up.
Whats weird is that it only does it when its about 1/2 way and further up, below that it rolls up smoothly as can be.....i cannot see any obstructions that it its hitting or whatnot.
I dont believe the regulator is bad as it works fine up and down, just with a grinding/scraping glass sort of noise when i roll it above half way....WTF?
Anybody had this problem before?

Oh, i should mention that i recently just changed the window out and it wasn't making this sound before.
no, im not going to take the window back out and re-install it. what a PIA!
