I have a 2007 Ford F150, it has around 245,000 miles on it. Did the camphaser delete. My mechanic has replaced all the sparkplugs and coil packs and I'm still getting misfire on start up and misfire on cylinder 3. I know I need a new engine, but am short on the money end.
Any ideas as I'm not a mechanic??
Swap plugs with another cylinder clear codes, see if that 303 follows. you may have a bad plug. they get dropped and the porcelain gets cracked. or you can just replace the plug and see if it clears.
Clean the tabs on the cops , agreed move plug to another cly . Then swap cop and boot . Then swap injectors if that didnt find it . Look at mode six to see all raw computer counts per cly you want zero counts towards setting a code .
There's lots of counterfeit plugs out there. I am on my third set of injectors at 270k miles. Last one had number 2 shooting a solid stream all the time.
Make sure no fluids getting in spark plug well.
