Have been kicking around the idea of a 2024 F350 CCLB to replace the trusty 2020 F250 CCSB to come forward a few years while still earning and to compliment the toy hauler we will pick up soon. Have seen a HO F350 CCLB nicely equipped Lariat discounted just over $5K, and a heavy duty tow package F250 6.7L with increased GVRW CCSB discounte just under $5K. Is the tide finally going out?
Receieved an email from the dealer I bought my F450 from this morning. They have 4.99% for 72 months now for both new and used up to 2018 MY. Discounts of ~ $3K off MSRP on F350.
Well, acquired a 2024 F350 CCLB Lariat Ultimate and Preferred Equipment plus HO engine for $2K more than I paid for my King Ranch in 2020. Manager was not happy to learn they discounted the only remaining HO long bed 350 on the lot by $5K, but too late after offer made. Bonus: $2K personal customer discount. New unit includes the camera functions I added to the 2020 with the Naviks aftermarket box. Not mad about the max recline seats and head up display.
Anyone here looking for a fabulous Rapid Red 2020 KR CCSB with topper, bed slide, Naviks, air bags and only 46,000 miles?
Looking around I sure hope nothing happens to my 2019 F-450. A replacement is extremely hard to find and in the 6 figures too. One is found within 100 miles of me for a whopping $102,000.
If I order one, it wouldn't directly replace my Platinum, but would have the features I want most that used to only come with the Platinum, and its ~$88,000. My Platinum MSRP for $85K back in 2019 and of course had discounts. IOW I paid more for it than the original owner. It was the LEAST expensive low mile truck within 200 miles of me.

What is the price after discount? Dealers thrive on buyers who shop for vehicles by monthly payment or dealer advertised "discounts". If they padded the vehicle with accessory/maintenance plan/dealer add on fees then offer a 5k then you are back to MSRP or worse off.
Plus these vehicles increased dramatically in price since 2020 MY. The same truck i have from '22 would cost 11k more MSRP wise. I imagine the difference would be even more pronounced if you last bought a truck in 2020.

Not hard to tell a good deal, when the MSRP is 89k, and they are advertising it for 82K.
There's a lot of CCLB 350 inventory in my area, which is great, because I want to get rid of my 2023 450 now that I sold my toyhauler.
Most have either Sport Appearance or Black Out appearance, which is unfortunate, because most are also Ultimate Lariat. So you are paying for a package which includes $1000 power running boards, but you don't get them on the sport or black appearance package, but they also don't credit you $1000.
And by the time buyer signs, it goes out 5he door for $97+ TTL
Ha. Your buying experiences and mine are much different. If you allow them to charge you 97K for a truck they have advertised at 82k, that's on you for not being smart.

yeah I don’t know where he was going with that one. And taxes, tags, etc have always been there.
if deals are being made I’m happy for people and glad we’re past the markups of the past few years

Lets see, $4000 extended warranty only adds a small a,ount to monthly payment. Then there is a three year “service contract” …..”Free” oil changes for three years, and the list goes on. For only a few dollars more per month. Maybe I stretched things just a bit, but likely not by much.
My buying experience is “ How much do I write the check for?” If I don’t like the price, I am gone! And I don’t waste money on all the added stuff posted above! But, then everybody on here buys that way, don’t they!
