Good Afternoon;
I worked a bit on the truck bed recently. Went over the light rust at the bottom of the bed with corroseal, then spray painted over that when it dried.
I need to find a More Red, Red Primer than what I used. It is called Red Primer but it looks more Brown to me.
At some point this truck was used to haul some very heavy weight as the back half of the bottom of the bed is bowed downwards.
On rain days the water puddles up in that last row of ribs next to the tailgate so I drilled a hole in the lowest part of each rib today.
Hopefully the holes are large enough that the water will flow thru them or I will have to drill larger holes.
Since you have the holes there now, I’d take a 2x8 or similar, about 5’ long and put it under the bed spanning all of the holes. Drill holes through the 2x8 to match the holes in the floor. Then for each hole take a 2x4 long enough to go from the rear end of the bed to the first crossmember. Install bolts or pieces of all thread. Slowly tighten them all and see if you can’t get at least a little of the bend out. Just a thought.
The floor metal has been stretched, so the only remedy, is to shrink it. You can try heating it with a rosebud torch a little at a time and spray cold water on it to gradually work out some of that sag. Take your time, it is not a quick process.
