What about adapting the Sniper return line in the filler neck? Does it have a piece of rubber inside the cab? Or even some solid piece of filler neck too splice into?
Yup... that's awesome. And would work great. but there's no vent in these trucks. I think I am going to try and see if there is room to get the tap into the top of the sending unit without interfering with the float. If not... I probably will end up drilling the top of the tank. I wish there was enough room up there to drill a hole big enough for a submersible pump if I am going to drill. But I don't think there is.
in the past, I have used bulkhead compression fittings fo something similar.
I ended up having a bulkhead fitting into the fuel filler. I didn't want to put a hole in the tank, and I figured that the fuel running into the filler hose and then into the tank would make less noise than a stream of fuel shooting directly into the fuel in the fuel tank from above. Plus... it's very difficult to see the fitting if you aren't looking for it. Which I like. The line runs straight down and through a bulkhead in the floor.
