Keep c4 or go c6

1966 f100, has 91 model 302 and c4 trans. C4 leaks horrible, I have a c6 from a 85 f150, can I make this work fairly easy? Thanks for the help

Your best option is to rebuild the C4 if it is in there and working. The C6 isn't the best choice for a 302 since they are big heavy-duty transmissions and take away a lot of HP. Also, the C6 will not go in from the bottom without removing the center crossmember and unless your truck originally had an auto it will be riveted in.
What type of shift linkage do you have now? Also, what kickdown linkage do you have?
