Looking for some ideas on where to put a CB in a 2013 with a flip down console (Full bench) I don't wan to chop into my dash or have a knee buster.
Even open to which radios you've used. I know they CB is a niche market right now, however I live full time in my RV and tow it everywhere. I miss having a CB in the cab even if just to hear chatter.
I recall seeing a video where a guy removed the factory double-DIN radio, and replaced it with a single DIN on top and a CB on bottom. There was a kit he used and modified. It was to install the single din and have a storage pocket below it in a double din slot. Very clean installation, and easy to put the truck back to stock with no modifications. if I can find the video, or the kit, I'll post it.
I put a Midland 78-822 CB in the center console, it's one of those all -in-one types that's even removable and can be converted to a handheld with a battery pack of AA batteries (link below to the radio I'm talking about). Put it in the center console so it's basically out of sight/ out of mind when not using it, but (at least in a 2010 F250) there is a factory cigarette lighter style 12 volt power point down there to plug it into.
And here's a link to the antenna I used. Magnet mounted it to the roof and ran the wires through the high mount center brake light hole into the cab. Its small and not glaring. https://www.rightchannelradios.com/p...nia-cb-antenna

It's certainly no billy big rigger CB setup, but it works and has a surprising long range when used at the hunting lease.
