So it failed a bubble test upper fuel bowel

Then remove glow plugs and screw one glow plug each cylinder at a time and repeat test

it’s recommended to test one cylinder ( one glow plug installed ) at a time in case you have more then one bad injector so one don’t get missed

I replaced the injector and now I have a new injector fault on a different cylinder (8). Now it really smokes and knocks and shakes and I am done with this truck. Does anyone want it? I'm serious. I have found my breaking point with this. I'm done with this. I need a truck and this one has different plans.

You sure you got the correct injector?

Did you do the installation of #2? Procedures used for the replacement?

If you are giving it away, I'll take it!

I can't give it away, but if I could, trust me I would. Damn thing has taken every dollar to my name plus some, and I still have bills to pay. Its injector 8 giving codes and 2 was just replaced. Using FORScan I did an injector test and they all sound good and it passed on the system too. There is no skip so its not like its a compression thing. Its reeks of unburnt diesel now. I don't know, maybe I will come to some other conclusion when I'm not so damn angry and upset. I probably should have just kept my 360FE truck, as much of a dog as it was.

Where do you live? I'm sure if I spent some time diagnosing your truck I could give you a clearer picture of what it needs and/or the root cause of your issues.

I'm in Phoenix. I pulled the injector giving problems and it looks fine and everything passed the FORScan injector test, although the KOEO test the truck always does sounded off. I have been convinced to at least try replacing this injector, but if its still not working after this, I really don't know what I will do.

Some would swap injectors around see if problem follows

Could this be injector rebuilder quality control issue I haven’t kept up on the aftermarket stuff but OEM seamed to work the best back then

problems that tend to move around could also be wire or power grounds etc

is your FICM ground wire on that back stud intake

They are Warren Diesel injectors, stock size, and there is a ground for the injector wiring harness that is connected to the back stud where the FICM mounts to.

The intake back stud wire is the wire shielding ground. The FICM ground is located on the driver's fender, right below the hood extension cylinder mount.

I guess I put it on the wrong spot, although they both ground fine. I will move it when I put it back together for the millionth, and final time.

Okay, after replacing injector #2, #8 had issues but 2 was fine. After replacing #8, 2 started having issues and now both 8 and 2 are giving codes. I am starting to think its an electrical issue again, although now I don't know what it could be.
FORScan thinks my injectors and FICM are fine, but I cant do a test because of the p1000, or if I can I don't know how to bypass it hanging there. I replaced the FICM a few months ago and the truck ran fine with it before the rebuild. Ordinarily I would drive it around to see if it sorts itself out, but I can't drive it when it knocks, and I am afraid of washing the walls with too much fuel.
Now I am at a total loss again. I was honestly expecting the truck to say something like #3 or #6 were having issues, but its just 2 and 8. I am losing my mind. I already started looking for new trucks because this is just crazy.

It was an electrical issue. I ran the truck and messed with the wiring around the FICM and it was changing the way it idled. I put the old wiring harness back in and all the problems I was having went away. Now it smokes black, like it was before I touched it. Is there a way to know if the truck is tuned? Also, if I put a tune on it, will it double tune, or overwrite any prior tune? Thanks.
