same ign switch
for an 88 f150 tilt or non tilt. my ign switch fell apart so i put a new one in but, it will either be on all the way or start can't get both yet. and the truck is 40 miles away. also the button on the bottom of the column I push to get the key to lock broke on me.

Well, you are in for some column repair for the broken key release lever (first)
Then while you are in there you can check your ignition switch actuator

Those switches used to come pinned in run IIRR
So run is right next to the spring loaded start section in the switch
Set the switch there (in run) and the key there (in run) then install the switch and test the operation
